I've read that white spots on your nails are an indicator of zinc deficiency. How accurate of a marker is this?
I've been taking 100mg of elemental zinc in the form of zinc picolinate for quite some time now and I STILL have the white spots.
However, I have fewer of them now then I did before I started taking the zinc, so there does seem to be some connection.
I was just wondering how accurate of an indicator it is, because if it is, then it would seem to suggest that I need even more zinc than I'm taking.
But I'm bit hesitant about taking more since 100mg is already a high dose by medical literature standards. Any HPU/KPU experts in the house?
Thanks!

Is it a stupid question or is it just that no one knows?
Anyone know where I can find an answer?
