Hi,

I'm treating for FL 1953, candida and goodness knows what else. I have a HUGE candida problem and have for years.

I started botanifuge http://pureformulas.com/botanifuge-90-capsules-by-professional-formulas.html in December and did really well on it. It supposedly has all the "hefty" herbs in it, back walnut, wormwood, cloves. I herxed like there was no tomorrow, but now I feel the yeast coming back again. Yuck!!

Is the Botanifuge just losing effectiveness? I'd hoped that wouldn't happen, given that it contains all these super duper herbs. Is it normal for these antiparasites to just quit working all of a sudden?

My dr is starting me on Ivermectin.

I had to add Hanna Kroeger Wormwood to my Parastroy, plus extra cloves and digestive enzymes when I hit a plateau. I also was doing salt/c.

The botanifuge may not be strong enough at this point, and adding other herbs might help. Try the Ivermectin for now and see how that goes. These parasites can be very difficult to get rid of, and persistence is key.

ok, thanks, Gael. "Plateau" sounds about right. I'll keep pressing on w/ the Ivermectin.

What was your dosing of the various herbs, if you remember?

My experience is that killing parasites/worms, whether with prescription antihelminthics or with herbs like you describe in the botanifuge, releases a lot of fungus to deal with. So it could simply be that the botanifuge is working well on the parasite, and you therefore need additional help with the fungus/candida.

Michael,

Thanks for reminding me about the yeast/fungus. I forget to mention that I also took coconut oil throughout the day when I had the heaviest mass exodus of parasites, alternating that with plain kefir.

You can look up Parastroy and Hanna Kroeger Wormwood on the net by googling and it will give you the doses under ingredients.

Willgetwell,
If you are treating for the FL1953 with ivermectin, are you also doing the low fat diet?

Treatment for FL1953 with low fat diet goes hand in hand. You will feel better once you go down to 10-15 grams of fat a day.

No oils, just low fat grams. See other threads on this. Lots out there.

Thank you, Gael. I'll look up the supplements.

Hi, MichaelTampa, That's a good insight; I'd thought of that myself; I've been a little more yeasty for about a month now, and that's what I thought at first, but now I'm yeasty enough to know it's a problem, unfortunately. [Frown]

Hi, hadlyme, I don't do the low fat diet per se, but mostly I eat meat, vegetables, eggs and non-fat yogurt. I eat avocado and take fish oil. I gave up all grains and sugar years ago, which helped a lot. I'll have to figure out how many grams/day of fat I'm actually getting.

Thanks, everyone!
