Tonight, while just relaxing, my lips started to feel warm and numb, and I wasnt able to get a goof breath. I had the air conditioner on and yet still couldn't feel cool. At the same time, I felt like something was stuck in my throat (I was thinking allergic reaction at the time). I also had a woozy feeling.
Does this sound like an asthma attack? It lasted about an hour and then I started to feel semi normal again.
I have an appointment with a Pulmonologist next month and I am honestly terrified he is going to sat that I have asthma.
If I do, the asthma medication has steroids, so I dont think I could take it. Is there an alternative?

You can use an inhaler that is a steroid if you need it to breathe. I use advair daily. My LLNP said to absolutely continue using it as breathing is an important function. Using an inhaled steroid is not the same as taking an oral steroid.

I get what you are describing. It is babs for me.
Were you wheezing at all? Any tightness in the chest? That would be asthma.

Philly78, I wasn't wheezing at all and didn't feel tight in the chest, just that feeling of not being able to get a good breath in my throat and upper chest.
