My daughter has been in treatment almost 3 months now. Her platelets are elevated 12 pts above normal. Her Dr. wants me to stop her Amoxy for three weeks and have her platelets checked again.
Is this caused by the antibiotics or infection? Does anyone have any info pertaining to this?

Maybe due to inflammation from die off during treatment or iron/B12 issues ? No personal experience, just some thoughts.
