Hey guys! Very sick after starting Nystatin. What is the best thing to help restore electrolytes.. Havnt been able to keep anything in me for days... Thanks!

The best thing available OTC to restore both fluids and electrolytes is an oral electrolyte solution such as Pedialyte.
Clear salty fluids such as canned vegetable or beef broths can also be used to restore fluids and salt, but since they are lacking in other electrolytes, it is not adequate treatment for severe dehydration in most cases.
Sports drinks like Gatorade advertise that they replace electrolytes, but for anything more than mild dehydration, it probably also is not enough.
If your dehydration is severe, or if you are not able to keep fluids down, consider a visit to your local walk-in clinic for IV rehydration treatment. An hour or two of a sodium chloride IV can make a world of difference, and lytes such as potassium and magnesium can be added to the IV if you've gotten too low on these.

Agree with MM. Another great electrolyte drink is coconut water. Loaded with vitamins and minerals as well as potassium. Has to say 100% natural from young coconut.

Coconut water or Gatorade is what I've always found works. If it's severe, however, sometimes IV fluids are needed.

Was just at the pediatrician's office for my son (concussion ugh) and she said Gatorade has too much salt and sugar. She recommended watering it down or using Pedialyte instead.

I am drinking "Real Coconut Water," by Taste Nirvana. It says it is made from natural coconut water & that is the only ingredient.
It does taste kind of sweet and wondering if it fits with our Lyme treatment no sugar protocol? I do water it down with 50% water when taking it.
Also wondering how much natural coconut should one take a day when also doing Salt C?

Is that causing all this trouble or is it the illness or CO?//

I like Zico brand green coconut water. BTW coconut water has more potassium than a banana, and a good dose of magesium too!
When my BF had swine flu a coupla years ago, it was the ONLY THING he could keep down! (sip at a time) Next day he was ready for toast and tea... then more.
