Many people mention "IV therapy"- getting it, overpriced places, etc-

Having been through the whole range of possible treatments over 7 years, I'm wondering what people are referring to in general-

Are people talking about, INDWELLING or surgical, like PIC lines or central lines?

Or getting a regular superficial vein IV once or twice a week?

Thanks-
PMs work best, as I'm not on the board often-

Most are referring to PICC lines or ports and get IV antibiotics daily for many months or even years.

Some do also get nutritional IV's or IV glutathione on a less frequent basis from ACAM docs or other physicians.

Typical IV for Lyme is a PICC (in the arm) or Port (in the chest) to which you can couple a daily dose of ceftriaxone (a/k/a Rocephin) which is a kick-butt form of Penicillan.

It is recommended especially for people with central nervous system or neurological Lyme infections, because it goes directly into the bloodstream and crosses the Blood/Brain barrier best.

One must always take daily probiotics whenever using long-term antibiotics, to prevent a yeast overgrowth in the gut, or worse, a Clostridium-Difficile (C-Diff) infection.

So far, cheapest place to get IV meds in Infuserveamerica.com.

You can call and get a therapy quote.
