Oh my...I think I'm majorly herxing. I just switched abx and am at full dose after five days...doxy and plaq. This evening some weird things started happening all at once. My forearms and hands have felt kind of paralyzed. I am losing my balance. I started crying when talking with my husband but I didn't even feel sad...so weird! I was talking kind of like I was drunk. Before all this I had a massive pain in my eye/jaw area on the right side (this is a pain I had when the illness began four years ago and was diagnosed as TN). I was VERY sensitive to light and sounds. I still feel like I'm stoned or something. I guess I should enjoy that part:) Fun stuff...gotta believe the lyme is being killed.

Anyone else have similar symptoms?

Hi jlf2012...
Sorry to hear that you're dealing with these awful symtoms. During my treatments, I've experienced similar symptoms.
The crying out of the blue, tingling/numbness in arms and hands, light sensitivity...
Hopefully, this is a sign that your treatment is working and killing off the lyme.
If it's a herx, I believe it should lessen in intensity sooner than later.
Hang in there, and do what you can to detox.
All the best!

Herxing is the body's reaction to Lyme dying. Named after Jarisch Herxheimer, who first explained the phenomena. But He wasn't describing Lyme Die - off, I think it might have been syphilis... Can't remember
