For two weeks my WBC has been 2.2. Went to 3.5 last week, back on cipro 1000, dropped down to 2.7. Llmd asked me to

retest next week, if low again to see a hematologist. It's never been this low even on Iv. Could it be tbd? My hematocrit and

hemoglobin are a little low too, my salt is finally in range after 2 Meds and 6000 mg salt daily. Llnd told me to do 2 drops

astragalus, but should find out reason for WBC drop. Anyone have this or think why? Thanks, God bless. [confused]

Did it coincide with cipro? From your message, it looks like it dropped when back on Cipro. Mine also dropped on Rocephin. Lowest was 2.9. You may need a transfusion if it's below 3.0 again, perhaps that's why he wanted you to see a hematologist. Would the hematologist be Lyme literate? Or, at least Lyme friendly?

I don't know any lyme literate hematologists. I have appt next week with llmd, I'll ask him if he knows. Funny, on Iv it was never that low. I was on rocephin and zithro Iv, always in the 3's. [Frown]
Thanks. Feel good.

Did you call your LLMD and ask about it? Mine said that if my WBC's, which have been consistently low, got to 2.8 or below to go off the IV abx. Call your dr.

Look into AHCC, a highly effective immuno-modulator that is derived from mushrooms and increases white blood cell count.

Research Overview

(This is REALLY interesting information.)

AHCC info and products at iHerb.

The product is all made in Japan, so the brand you buy won't matter.

My wbc just dropped too and I am not on abx

Moxibustion increases wbc if you can find a good accupuncturist that does it
