Anyone else have a teenager who has had enough... This is his 3rd time treating and to tell you the truth, he probably has had enough. Honestly, after 2 yrs of treating myself, I feel like I have had enough already. Just venting ...

Have an app't with Dr H in NY coming up for him which will cost a small fortune. It is very frustrating trying to deal with this disease yourself and then have to care for kids with it and convince them that the fight is worth it ..

Yeah, that's always the struggle. It's hard for anyone let alone a teenager.

Have you tried any pulse therapy? That way you can treat but get breaks in between. Just a thought...

So far, LLMD's have not suggested pulsing. I have, but they haven't.

Manybites, I can feel your pain. You know that you are doing the right things for the kids and get pushback.

I think this is the worst age for kids to be sick. They are grown up enough to fight for what they believe but still immature in many ways. I have a 19 and 17 year old in treatment, plus myself. Two years later, I don't want to do it anymore.

I figure there is no choice. We go day by day. For us it helped that my youngest was bedbound and so sick when Lyme was diagnosed. Treatment got him back in school so he sort of sees the benefits. My oldest watched my youngest in pain and doesn't want to go there so he cooperates.

We have so much to be thankful despite Lyme. I am fortunate to have cooperating kids. I can't imagine it any other way.

Hoops- good luck with Dr. H.
Manybites- hang in there.
