Hello

Can someone explain the head pain or pressure please?

Ive had it for a year, with it never going away, constantly there. It worries me that I may have a stoke or some other brain related issue if left this way.
I take Gabapentine....and it makes my head feel numb...it changes the feeling or the pain. If I stop the Gaba....it feels like tremendous pressure or a throbbing type headache.

What causes this...is it doing damage?

No. You're not alone. I doubt it is doing damage structurally, but you must get the Lyme "arrested."

Have you found a good LLMD yet?

One of my main symptoms - the headache and pressure that never goes away! Well, it never went away until I started getting treated. I was afraid I had encephalitis or something for a while.

I don't know if its doing damage, I assume the pain and pressure is from inflammation. Treat the bugs to get rid of the headache though!

I just got off the phone with a Lyme doc office.
Cant get in until the end of October....
Can I just get some ABX and take a short run of them in the mean time? An easy dose of Doxy for a few weeks until I get in?

A few weeks worth will not help and could make you feel even worse. It will stir things up and then you will crash.

Why not start with some herbals until you can get in to the LLMD?

My husband had taken garlic pills until he could get in to see the doctor.

I found that reducing the inflammation in the body does alot to reduce the head pain and pressure.

Systemic enzymes reduce fibrin and reduce inflammation.
This results in the body's cells getting increased oxygen and nutrients, and they function better and you have less pain.

Several years ago I found out about systemic enzymes and tried several of them.
When I took Wobenzym, a blend, I had very good results.
With two weeks, as I increased the dose, I no longer woke up every day with a splitting headache!

I also found that fish oil with a high ratio of EPA helps reduce inflammation and pain.
It reduces the body and joint pain and headaches.

You can google for information.
