So,,,started with a trainer last week. Since then, not feeling great.

Old things coming back. Achey ribs etc.

Called Llmd who said it was a herx and to suck it up.

She said that Bart can effect ribs and make them sore.

Any insight would b great. [confused]

I imagine that working with a trainer could result in a herx. Any kind of exercise would do that. What kind of training are you doing?

As far as "sucking it up," that could be both good and bad advice. I wouldn't let any herx get too bad before laying off the trigger. If you are feeling horrible, then I would think you might be doing too much.

However, if your symptoms are tolerable but annoying, then your LLMD might have the right idea. But that's totally your call and should be based on how you feel. Don't overdo it! That's my two cents! [Smile] CB

Thanks all. Llmd told me she thinks this herx is the last hooray before it's done.

I need to trust her. She's been right so far. Babs gone, Lyme gone.

She said herxing means meds are working. Great, huh?

"Suck it up"???? Wow, I don't think that is the best advice. If you are hurting than you should take a break.

I know for me my major issues are muscle/nerve pain and I have not been able to exercise at all due to the severity of the pain. Even my physical therapist advised agains it.

She meant it jokingly. I can b a bit of a hypochondriac. She's very responsive and a great Llmd a that. My trainer said we will focus on rehab next week.

Just weekly sore and trying to detox per Llmd.

Keep training, it always feels worse before feeling better.

If you need to slow down a little, then do so but, keep working out.
Ive always believed exercising is the key to recovery!
