If it's working do you feel a herx or not ,because you've been taking the other meds so long?
There's like 5 question's with this but , we'll just start with this ... to icky today......

"Strong Herxheimer-like reactions are seen in almost everyone."
So, when you take flagyl, you WILL herx, and often it is a very strong herx. That's how you know it is working.
You will herx even though you have been taking other meds for months or years. I herxed when I first took it, even though I had been on other lyme meds for 2 years.
Flagyl kills forms of lyme that the other lyme meds don't kill. That's why you are basically guaranteed to herx when you take it. The herx will start at about day 2-3.

I have taken Flagyl for 3 months & I have not herxed at all. It is like taking nothing to me.
I don't herx on Zithro, Biaxin, Mepron, Ceftin, Tindamax, & Artemisinin.
I asked my LLMD & he stated that only about 30% of people herx. Don't know if I believe that based upon some of the other things he has said in the past or things he is not concerned with (such as parasite treatment or advising for supplements).

,TF,did you pulse the buster? I think maybe you said you took it two month's straight...or maybe take a day or two off to let body rest ??

Lymedin ..you have tried a lot ..did it work/help even though you were blessed not to have herx?
.but strong Herx could explain some things

I used to herx on it in the beginning. Now I don't notice it. I take tindamax 2 days a week.
My question is: despite no herx, should one keep taking it?

I had been on Tindamax for the past year plus, 2 days a week and never herxed from it, switched to Flagyl recently and am up to the full dosage 2 days a week with no change/herx either. Curious what it could mean or if I should pulse differently as well???

Hubby has landed in the ER from both tindamax and flagyl so he definitely herxes on these meds.
But the really strange thing is that even though oral flagyl is supposed to be very well absorbed the IV flagyl seems 10 times stronger. Talked to hubby's LLMD about this this a.m. Hubby had been on 500 mg oral flagyl twice daily for at least 2 or 3 months straight.
Then we tried pulsing in IV flagyl at 250 once daily for 2 days. Bad neuro symptoms delayed 36 or 48 hours after 2nd IV. But at least he is not spiking fevers with the IV flagyl like he did with every dose when he tried it last summer.

Yes Tindamax hit me real hard after about 3 days or so. BAD. Then I got much better. then I got worse. But I believe its working.

Tindamax has been the most significant drug I've ever taken.
The famous 'Dr. B', I believe, is the protocol 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

I'm on Tindamax, two weeks on, two weeks off. Been on it this way since Feb.
I herx every time I take it.

DEBYILYN are you on prednisone?? I just noticed at the bottom of your,tag?
Do you feel better now that you take Tidimax?
Did this cause extra damage that you know of?
Any one actually feel better directly after they added Tid/Flagyl ??
Was it a missing piece?
TF I think you said yes .. It really made a world of difference..

I pulse Flagyl 2 consecutive days per week. My LLMD wants me to up my dosage as I can tolerate.
The strange thing is that the two days I take it I'm pretty much okay, minor fatigue. But two days after I stop it's like I have a hangover. Very fatigued and zombielike. It goes away after a day or two.
