Thank you to everyone who replied to my post about the Biltricide! That is nearly behind me, now...
I hate to do this, but I have one other question re: another medicine in my parasite cleanse. My pharmacy didn't have 6 mg tablets of Ivermectin (under the Brand name, Stromectol), so they filled my script for 3 mg tablets instead. I am to take a total of 15 mg, so instead of taking the 2 1/2 tablets of 6 mg Ivermectin, I am now having to take 5 tablets of the 3 mg Stromectol.
Did anyone else ever have to do this instead? Is this okay? I wouldn't think that my trustworthy pharmacist lead me astray by filling the Stromectol at this dosage.
One last thing... I have been experiencing a bad bout of air hunger for the last few days, which is oftentimes confused with my asthma. It would have to figure that the drug sheet for the Ivermectin/Stromectol would warn against excacerbation of bronchial asthma. Will I ever win?

I think you are better off with the 3mg tablets. I started with 1/2 of a 3mg pill every other day and I am now up to 6 mgs every other day. Next step is up to 9 mgs every other day.

That's how my pharmacy filled it as well, with the 3 mg tablets. Just means you take more of them for the same dose, no big deal.

I'm a little surprised to see people talking about taking such low doses of Ivermectin.
I'm supposed to start 12 mg. 4 times per day in a few days.

Haley's dose does sound extremely low, and Bulldog's also sounds low to me. Some people do better working up to things; many are sensitive, and many docs are being careful, and of course some docs aren't comfortable prescribing appropriate doses because they read some stupid doctor drug book in their office that discusses what the idiots would consider appropriate doses.
I am curious as well where these doses are coming from in these cases.
I have taken as much as 90-100mg a day for a period of a few days. I do think that was a high dose, and am not necessarily recommending that dose for anyone.

Protomyxzoa can cause air hunger, just like babesia. When you start the stromectol, you can herx. I had joint and muscle pain and headaches. I would guess your air hunger is a herx.

Wow, I could not do those high doses-
My LLMD dosed based on my weight (4 of your same pills)
and I only did 3 of them 1x a day-but, 3 days on within 5 days.
I felt heavy, headache, toxic, tired, and bowels acted up.
No air hunger.
Might want to go slower, see how you do....

I would not take a high dose to start !
Also, the die off can make asthma worse for a while .
Lady jenie got rid of air hunger on fenbendazole ( which also kills lungworm ) .

Thanks for the feedback on dosages. It's hard to know what's a "normal" dose with people doing such different amounts.
surprise - when you said "4 of your same pills," what size did you mean?
Rxlist says Ivermectin is normally taken in a single dose of 9-12mg. (!) (for my body weight 60 kg.)
I would love to hear from others who did the 12 mg. - 4x per day for 14 days. How did that go?

I'm afraid to break the rule about dosing.
I weigh 100 pounds, and my USA prescription was also the tiny 3 mg pills.
1x a day dosing on an empty stomach.

Sorry I don't have the answer to your question but are you guys taking Ivermectin along w/ babesia treatment for the FL1953 bug or can it be taken on its own? I mean for parasites only? I can't imagine adding it to Mepron/Zith - I've never been on 3 meds...

No, dan67. I heard of one person who took 48mg daily. My daughter ended up in the ER the first time she took one 3mg pill daily for four days.
The next time she attempted, she had to take 1/4 3mg pill every other day. It took her a year to work up to 12mg daily.
Everyone is different. That's why I'm not keen on people sharing their treatment plans without a caveat.

Ivermectin doesn't make me herx, it only makes me feel better, my concern with 48mg isn't the herxing it is the drug side effects.

dan67 - I met someone at my LLMDs office who did the full Dr. K protocol. She did the Ivermectin 48/mg. per day for two weeks.
I asked her if she had the same weakness side effect I did and she said yes. (hard for me to get out of bed for hours, and that was on only 12 mg. per day). But she said she toughed it out.
That being said - we are all different. What is described as "bad weakness" by two people may be two completely different things.
Listen to your body. I wish I could tolerate the 48 mg. like you are. If 48 mg. per day is making you feel better I would stay on it (just my opinion). But I would have my blood counts and liver/kidneys checked once a week.

Energy, thanks for the info. I'm not on 48mg, I'm on 6mg. I tried 12 and had no herxing but seemed like I had liver pain.
