Hi - Just want to thank everyone on the boards for the input over the last few months. You have really helped my daughter with suggestions.
She has been on antibiotics for 10 months and is struggling with fatique. Does this area every improve?

Thanks

She may have babesia. It causes really bad fatigue.

Agreed, coinfection(s) may need to be more fully assessed / addressed.

Even with good attention to infection and support methods, her body may just need to be very still for a while.

In the Cardiac thread are suggestion for safe exercise but, still, remember that fatigue is also the body's protective measure when it just can't do more. Don't push.

Do move each day for various exercise motions as best possible and safe - but also - if "aggressive rest" is needed, it's needed. It's the way the body repairs.

Fatigue can be one of the last symptoms to go.

May need to be evaluated for sleep disorders that can cause fatigue, too (such as sleep apnea)... Lyme/co's are known to cause sleep apnea and probably a lot of other sleep disorders.
