I know Rifampin lowers the effects of Mepron or Malarone.
Has anyone taken this combo together and gotten rid of babesia?
If so, did you take a higher-than-normal dose of Mepron or Malarone?
I am scared to try Levaquin, but looks like that may be the way to go with Malarone.

My llmd upped my Malarone dose since I am on rifampin too.

My LLMD just added Rifampin and did NOT change my malarone dosage.
In my case, however, my babs symptoms are wayyyy better - if not all together gone so he felt safe not upping my malarone dose.
Also taking ART in liposome form as well as Zythro. so in his opinion that is good enough for my specific case.

Mine also felt that keeping the malerone at the same dose while on the rifampin was appropriate. I don't seem to be having the babesia symptoms anymore, and am now off the malerone. Still working on the lyme, maybe bartonella too.
