Hi everyone. I am starting tindamax tmrw as a cyst buster to go along with my bicillin shots. I will take it three consecutive days a week. I was wondering if anyone here has taken tindamax and can share some of their experiences with it. I am a bit nervous, as I think cyst busters make me herx particularly hard. If I were you, I'd start with the smallest dose you can initially, and work up slowly.
When I started Flagyl, I herxed on 1/4 of a 250mg tablet once a day. I only was able to increase by 1/4 tablet every 2-3 weeks. It took me 4 months to get up to the dose my doctor wanted me on.

I started this a few weeks ago...2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. I will be starting my second pulse on Monday.
I herxed pretty hard on it. I had to skip a dose here and there to get through it.

I did it for a week before stopping it along with an entire protocol (for an allergic reaction to a different med).
I did not notice any strong herxing in the week that I was on it. I did however have a very strong herx to plaquenil which I thought should have been a much milder cyst med.

I think Tindamax is/was one of the most effective things I've done so far...
I'm also on Bicillin, and Tindamax 2 weeks on/off.
For me, it gets easier. No lie tho, building up to it at first was hard- migraine bad-
Like others said, build up.
I almost hate to mention this part to you, but it does decrease my appetite a bit. Maybe watch out for that, as I know that's a struggle for you.

Does it give palpitaions or any heart issues? I have palps and Mitral Valve Prolapse so have to be careful with meds.
For people who herxed on it, what happened exactly?

Hi,
I did not herx on it. I felt that it worked pretty good. If you feel nauseated you can probably take Zofran. I would probably not take it close to bed time.

No palpitations for me, but I don't have any heart issues.
I just had normal herx reactions...very achy with back pain.

Bicillin injections and pulsing Tindamax/Flagyl I believe was the combination that finally got me better. I felt awful on the Tindamax days. I herxed really hard with dizziness,exhaustion,queasiness,etc. but just keep saying to yourself that the treatment is working and you will feel better soon. I did not start feeling much better until I finally stopped taking the Bicillin and Tindamax so I wasnt really sure it was working. I have been mostly symptom free now for 8 months! Tindamaz/Flagyl did not affect my appetite. I was nauseated but for me I needed to eat more often. Good Luck!

My daughter is due to start on Tindamax pills and Bicillin injections, as soon as I can figure out where to get the Bicillin LA and get trained to give her the shots.
It sounds like we could be in for some potentially rough herxing. She is prone to nausea anyway.
Just at the start of school! But there is never a good time to do this, really. racer
