So I just got blood tests back finding that I am also positive for Parvovirus (also known as Fifth's Disease). Has anyone else have experience with this as an adult? The nurse I talked to said that it's self-limiting and will clear up on its own in a few weeks but is there anything I can do for it in the meantime? And having Lyme do you think it will take longer to clear up?

I know someone who had parvo. It just went away on its own. I think it's just another co infection that comes with lyme disease. As long as you're not incapacitated by it, I wouldn't worry too much about it (low priority).

I have tested positive for active parvovirus infection since march, not sure why it's not clearing up, but I think it's contributing factor in fatigue. dr. Was surprised I was still positive.

It seems to have a lot of the same symptoms as Lyme so I'm sure that it can exaggerate Lyme sx even more.
I'm wondering if it's harder to clear up since the body is already fighting Lyme. Sure seems like the case for you if you've had it since March. That's an awfully long time to still have it. The docs made it seem like it goes away much quicker than that.

My daughter and I both tested pos for Parvovirus. It shuts down blood production in the bones, so you will get anemic. I'm surprised you didn't test postive for Epstein Barre, as well.
It does go away on its own, but if you have other things going on, it may take a while.

I'm sure for the average person with a normal immune system it goes away on it's own but for us it would take longer b/c we are fighting so many other things at the same time.

I'm pretty sure the person I know with parvo has lyme too (denial). The parvo went away in about a month. We are all different though. We all have different co infections, and different exposures to toxins. So each case is different too.
