I recently noticed that the front of my neck is sore and feels full/swollen (although it does not look abnormal).
When I lower my chin toward my chest, I notice the discomfort the most.
I have Lyme/Bart/Babs but am currently in remission (at least I hope so).
I've had my thyroid tested, and the results came back negative for any issue.
Could this be swollen lymph nodes? Maybe I'm fighting off a bit of an infection?
I recently treated a Candida overgrowth. I have completed my 2-month round of Fluconazole. Could I possibly still have elevated Candida levels? Maybe the anti-fungal supplement (Kolorex) is killing off yeast?
Sorry for the questions. I just get a little freaked out worrying that my neck/throat might close up.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks so much! jwick25

Do you feel lumps like swollen lymph glands? I think if your
body is trying to get rid of the die-off, it is quite possible. But
if you're feeling like your throat may close and deter breathing, that seems more serious.
Any chance of getting thru to your LLMD? This kind of stuff
always happens over the weekend and on holidays. I hope
you're feeling better soon.

Hi debilyn,
When I feel my neck, I can't really tell if there are lumps. It does feel a little tender.
I should start dry skin brushing again to help move things along...if it is a lymph node issue.
Since it's been over 13 hours since this started, I am assuming that if my throat was going to swell or close up...it would have happened already.
You're right. These things always seem to happen over a holiday weekend. When I first got extremely sick with Lyme, I had to be hospitalized...over a holiday weekend.
The admitting doctor had to make so many calls in order to confirm that there was a bed available for me. I remember sitting in his office, ready to fall over, just wanting to get to the hospital. It never fails.
Thank you for the advice. I'm going to put a hot cloth on my neck and see if that helps (as it did last night).
If it is lymph nodes, I wonder how long until they would drain and this feeling of fullness would diminish...

That can be fungal.

I have this (it comes and goes). It feels like it's my thyroid (think it's lyme related). Doc sent me to get an ultrasound, and by the time I got it, the swelling was gone (ultrasound tech said my thyroid looked great--She also said that the thyroid can be swollen one day and gone a few days later.)
That was 8 months ago. Now my thyroid is acting up again (sore in front of neck), and my T3 levels are low now (doc is watching this).
My pcp just tested my minerals and I just got results back. I was really low in some of them (can affect the thyroid). --Waiting to see my doc again.

It seems to be most sore right under my chin. I believe that there are lymph nodes under the chin as well as the front of the neck.
It's such an uncomfortable feeling. It's like I have a golf ball lodged in my throat.
I am going to call my LLMD tomorrow and ask if he will send me a slip to get my blood taken locally to check thyroid and candida levels.
If I still have elevated candida levels, maybe being on the candida diet and the Kolorex are causing die-off....resulting in swollen lymph nodes.
Thank you so much for the replies! It makes me a little less anxious to know that others have dealt with this.....and it will be ok.

jwick25, how are you doing? I have similar things and I am also in the stage of digging what is going wrong with me.
