Hey everyone!

I was treated for lyme/rocky mountain spotted fever, etc by my llmd for some time. Treatment consisted of antibiotics and many supporting items like diet, hormones, b injections, thyroid meds, etc.

The treatment didn't cure me 100%, but I was practically symptom-free and totally back to normal life. Now I fear because it's been maybe a year and a half and some symptoms are returning.
I have also been bitten by ticks since.

The symptoms are mild but I want to nip them in the bud now so I don't go back to the way it was before. I would like to try something natural this time around as I have heard good results that way and feel it will work since I'm not bad yet.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks in advance!

Sarah

Uh, go back to your LLMD and treat before it escalates. You've come so far, and this is not going to go away with just herbs. Nip it in the bud!

Just my opinion.

If you've been bitten again, you very well could be reinfected.

Stephen Buhner has a book called "Healing Lyme". He also answers questions on Planet Thrive. I'd start there for information on herbal teatment unless you want to do something like photon treatment, then do a search for threads here.

Go back to your LLMD or see an ILADS educated LL ND. You need be assessed by an expert.

When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods:

if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL (lyme literate) doctor who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -

- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present.

Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.

When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.

How to find an ILADS-educated LL:

N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor);

L.Ac. (Acupuncturist);

D.Ay. (Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine);

D.O.M. (Doctor of Oriental Medicine);

Integrative / Holistic M.D., etc. (Be aware that those in this category can have various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first.)

Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:

Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;

knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.

You can compare and contrast many approaches.

BASIC HERBAL EDUCATIONAL & SAFETY links,

BODY WORK links with safety tailored to lyme patients,

LOW HEAT INFRARED SAUNA detail,

BIONIC 880 (& PE-1) links, and

RIFE links.

Have you considered photons. That is what I would honestly recommend. Let me know if I can help in any way. I am sorry to hear this. I know it is terrible to have your life back and feel it is slipping back away from you. Photons have been the only thing to take me off of this roller-coaster. Blessings

Thank you all for your replies. Before reading these I thought I was somewhat knowledgeable LOL!

I'm lost though. What are photons?

Photons?

BIONIC 880 (& PE-1) links are midway down the ND thread.
