Has anyone heard of atlas prophylax? I found out about it n a fibromyalgia board. It s an adjustment in the spine, that affects the vagus nerve. It is only done by seven practitioners in the u.s. who believe that some people are born with a misaligned vertebrae and when this vertebrae is out of line, it affects our immune system and makes it easier for pathogens like Lyme and viruses to overlad our bodies. The treatment is only needed once and costs $200-$300. People are raving about it on the board I visited and you can read about it here http://www.prohealth.com/fibromyalgia/blog/boardDetail.cfm?id=1226021&b1=CHWEBO

No, I haven't. I've tried bio-cranial therapy and liked it. Not sure it's the same. Sounds similar.

No cure, I don't think.

I know a Chiro who does only Atlas Prophylax. She does repeat it though, since she says it is easy to knock it out of place again. The ideas behind it are not logical, IMO, but it did help a with range of motion and tightness of my neck the first time I had it done.

I got more help from cranial-sacral therapy, 3 sessions at $55 each. That totally got rid of my severe TMJ, and that was about 10 yrs. ago and it has not come back.
