I just started the first three days of doxy and azithromycin treatment. However I started having 'ulcer type pain two years ago from Motrin or Lyme or both? Since then I can take a lot of pharmaceutical pills including NSAIDs.

I really didn't think I would get back the ulcerated feeling from antibiotics! I already feel better from the treatments (not yet in the worse places)!

But now I feel like I am burning holes in my intestines. Am I recreating an ulcer?? Most likely Lyme is in my intestines is what I was thinking. But my symptoms from any pill are the same.

Anyone have ulcer pain from antibiotics????

Ps plus you're not supposed to have cheese with doxy and that always soothed my stomach!

Pps what's weird is its not really my stomach (your stomach is on the left) its my right side gallbladder and down. I don't want to get back the extreme acid pain that I feel pills create.

Antibiotics can cause issues with the gallbladder. They can also cause gastritis.

I had to take PPI's when I was on abx, then had to continue since they are hard to get off of!!

Make sure you take doxy in the MIDDLE of a full meal or you will indeed "eat" your stomach.
