This was one of my earliest symptoms and it had gone away with treatment until recently.

This isn't like sinus drainage popping and cracking. This is like itty bitty crackling as if something is ...chiseling my ear drum!
It is annoying and sometimes painful.

I do humaworm every six months...does anyone know what on earth this is???

Sounds like inflammation to me.

Dairy or gluten have done that to me. Humid days, a storm coming, mold, allergies, chemical exposure, etc.

Any infection that can caused inflammation can cause the ears tissue to swell and pop.

Magnesium is usually helpful. Antioxidants, too.

Olive Leaf Extract helps calm inflammation in my ears, regardless of the reason.

I just developed the popping 2 days ago. It's like someone hitting a rubberband right on your ear drums with a thump.
