I just had to share. [Smile] It got taken out tonight, yea!

I still have some more to work on - switched to herbals and had my first acupuncture experience ever today - to get rid of the residual stuff, but the rocephin and the picc have done all they can do.

I'm still experiencing minor wrist and ankle aches, and headaches and in general have to get my stamina back up again, but am SO much better off than I was earlier in the year!

Its going to be so nice to take a normal shower again, with no cover.

How long were you on it? What symptoms did you have that the IV antibiotics alleviated?

Congrats!

I had the picc for 6 months for rocephin. I was exhausted, ached all over, constant headaches, brain fog galore, no motivation when I started it. 4-5 weeks in I started getting daily fevers, which were new for me and the joints got waaayyy worse.

Then suddenly after a really bad night, the joint pain improved significantly and things got better over several months.

Then things were just holding steady for a while. I've actually not had any rocephin for a few weeks now, to see if I would relapse, but things have stayed pretty steady, so he gave the go ahead to pull the line yesterday.

So tonight, now that I could take the final dressing off - I'm enjoying a really good scratch! Boy it was itchy!! Ahhh, I can feel air movement over that area again. [Smile]

Congratulations! If you have any leftover supplies, email me at [email protected]. We keep a list of people who are paying out of pocket and need them, and people usually try to pass them on!
