What works for the neck? Hubbys neck always bothers him. He can't drive any longer because of that. None of his meds begin to touch it.

Great question. I can't find anything to help my neck either.
Up for input^^

My neck pain went from a 10 to a 4 on long term doxy.
I still have considerable neck pain and stiffness, but at least it doesn't feel like a 4 inch drill bit drilling through my neck and head anymore.

The doxy helped my neck pain too, followed by cefpomoxime. I still have pain but it hasn't been as bad. I did feel awful the whole time on doxy though. I herded the second week on cefpo for six days and then started feeling better than i have in a long time.

Is that IV doxy or oral. Hubby is on IV doxy but low dose and only a couple of weeks. Maybe he'll get some relief

Being on the rocephin and rifampin for a while improved mine, but I was still having trouble with the back of the head headache, stiff, sore neck and shoulders. I'm off the abx now and on to herbals, the head/neck pain were persisting.
Now I'll admit to being skeptical about a lot of alternative treatments, but I'm generally willing to give something a try to see for myself. So last week my Dr. did some acupuncture on my head and neck.
-Most of the locations I didn't think did anything, but there was one spot at the base of my skull on the left side (my symptoms always tend to be worse on that side) that he hit with a needle and it was extremely sensitive.
A few minutes later, I felt this popping sensation and something like the area was draining or something. It was really weird. But, the pain in the back part of my head, neck and shoulders - vast improvement!! My sinuses are still bothering me, but its such a relief to not have my neck hurt! Afterward I felt as if I had just had a massage.
So, I have to admit it was a surprise for me, but thank goodness for the relief! I sure hope it lasts - its been 5 days and its still much better.
