anyone here with hives and constant itching. Not sure if its allergies, hayfever or lyme related. Also the two tick bite areas where i have been bitten in the past seem to flare up with hives.

I have had extreme itching episodes both with and without hives. They were episodic, not constant. The worst episodes were my first major herx following start of antibiotics. A prickly type itching that was so severe, mostly on my trunk, that I had to apply ice-packs to calm it down.

It was exacerbated by hot showers and vigorous towelling-off. I had to bathe in tepid water only, no soap, just Aveeno, and blot dry.

I believe this itching was a die-off reaction in my skin. It subsided over months and then went away.

Prior to diagnosis and treatment, I had episodes with hives, mostly in winter.

It's all Lyme and co-infections IMO.

4 1/2 years into treatment and all itching appears to be gone.

Mountaineer, I believe you need to do some good detoxing through your largest organ-the skin.

You might find the detox bath of warm water, 2 cups epsom, 1 cup baking soda, 15-20 minute soaks to be soothing to your skin issues.

Do these 3-5 times a week and see if you can't get the skin to calm down for months. Might need to do 2 cups of baking sod?. Helps with ph of the skin.

Yes, hives, and often itching without hives, too. Seems to happen most when I'm herxing.

A paste of baking soda and water helps immensely to calm it down.
