Band 31 is lyme specific but can cross react with viruses.
Dr C thinks that bands 58 and 66 are also significant...I'll pm you a link to look at for that explanation.
A non-LLMD may say that this is past infection because the positive bands are on IgG, but a LLMD takes into account many factors.
A LLMD will likely think this Igenex result is very significant especially when coupled with her symptoms.
Does your daughter have a LLMD?

Her IgM showed IND on 31 and 39.
we do not have llmd yet. we are working on her fungus problem we just found from metametrix stool test. starting detox for mold.
she gets very sick on abx and could not tolerate that right now. we also are working on methylation (she has mthfr defect along with 13 other snp's). her immune system is not fighting off infection it appears. we want to build her up a bit and then we may need to get more aggressive. she also may have pandas/pans. so lots happening.
thank you for your help!

Hi Julie,
A LLMD told me that he considers IND bands significant because they are like a light fingerprint.
He said they might be light, but they are still the same fingerprint.
So on IgM, 31 and 39 are considered significant.
Perhaps she is herxing when she takes antibiotics.
It sounds like you are on the right track and it's good you know she has a methylation defect and are working on the mold problem.
Is she on the methylation protocol?
Keep reading and posting. There are lots of intelligent and helpful people here.
Saying a prayer for your daughter.

If a person is positive on EITHER IgM or IgG it's positive in the case of Lyme Disease, IF a person is having symptoms. What the test is trying to prove is exposure, not necessarily that the disease is active, but has the person been exposed. Then if the person has symptoms, they are diagnosed.
I had 8 positive IgG bands and was diagnosed with Lyme Disease.

Dekrator and Six are so right!! If you are positive on EITHER the IgG OR the IgM.. you are POSITIVE.
With an "IND" .. the tech SAW something there ..it was just not large enough or dark enough to call it a true positive. IT'S STILL THERE.

thank you so much. I think we finally have an answer to why she is so sick. She was dx with dysautonomia over a year ago along with mast cell activation disorder. I am working with dr tim Jackson - started to work on methylation and then he told me my daughter probably had lyme disease. Now here we are...i sure wish we would have tested OR thought to test yrs ago. she is now 16 and cannot go to school OR really do any school work. she was a Honor students getting all A's and then everything just got bad after some immunotherapy...
also she appears to have bartonella rash but test came back negative on IgeneX - imagine that is common. I spend $1300 to do all these tests. we are desperate for answers so money is just flying out of our house.
now to get house evaluated for mold. we live in AZ so I am thinking we may have a leak somewhere...there are some poss signs of that...
thank you for your input. I secretly felt lyme was positive based on clinical symptoms.
