I am trying to get a positive lab test for Babesia

in order to try to get my insurance to cover Mepron.

Is it at all similar to Lyme where taking

antibiotics may sometimes increase the chances of

testing positive? Any ideas?!

Which lab have you tried. I'm not sure it's like the Lyme challenge, but may be.

Maybe try a lab with more sensitive testing - like Igenex.

I tested negative several times, then finally tested positive on the fish test. Make sure to have all the possible tests done, including fish.

Good luck! I know how frustrating it can be.

Would they accept the ECP test? Esinophilic cationic protein. This is what our doctor uses to indicate babesia. There is a difference.
