Hi everyone, my LLMD has prescribed coartem, but my regular pharmacy CVS says they can't get it.
The pharmacy and doctor's office are trying to straighten out this issue, but I am wondering where others get coartem?

Really, Larae? I called my local Walgreens. They don't have it and can't get it either.
I am in So. CA. Maybe that is why I can't find it? I even called my compounding pharmacy, and they said to call Costco.
I don't really want to pay to renew my Costco card just for this med; plus the compounding pharmacist said it is expensive at
Costco. Any other suggestions out there?

That is strange. I'm in Nebraska, so I would think if they had it here, they would have it in CA? Did you try another Walgreens, maybe they didn't know what they were talking about?

You don't need a Costco membership to use their pharmacy (same at Sam's Club).
We have filled Coartem at several chain pharmacy.
Good Luck!

I get mine at an Epic pharmacy. Epic pharmacies are all small, privately owned shops. Not sure if they are in CA but you can look it up online.
The pharmacists and manager there have been incredibly good to me about my dx and go above and beyond.

Thanks Larae and everyone, My husband called other Walgreens and found it not too far away from us.
Sheesh, it is crazy to have to go through such trouble getting a medicine.
I am also going to look for the Epic pharm; that sounds like a good one.
