My Dr. said to take as much vitamin C as my body would tolerate. (for detoxing)
I have been increasing it every day, and I am up to 25,000 mg a day, and still have not reached my tolerance level. Is this NORMAL?
I read that people who are sicker can take more vitamin C...
But isn't it strange to be up to that much?

I think it is. I don't have lyme anymore, and I can't even tolerate 2,000 mg per day. I have tried.
It gives me terrible reflux. Very hard on my stomach.

Some people need a different form of Vitamin C. Linus Pauling (won Nobel science awards for his research) often recommended IV Vitamin C in the form of sodium ascorbate. This is a buffered form that is readily absorbed in the bloodstream and doesn't have negative effects on the stomach.

My husband can take 20,000 mgs of vitamin c per day without reaching tolerance level. He stayed at that level for a long time.
He is recovering from adrenal fatigue in addition to Lyme & babesia.

I sure don't think continuing to raise it would be helpful.

20-25g? Wow, I take 1-2g and even thought it was a lot.
