With all of the negativity that can float around out there, and with all of the susceptibility it seems we as Lyme patients has to negative thoughts, I thought it would be good to hear from people on what has worked for them. Please list what it was you were/are taking/doing and what it helped with.
I have little experience treating Lyme so far, but I'll start:
5-htp- seems to abate some of my darker moods and I think taking it during the day may be responsible for finally being able to get to sleep at a predictable time (I've tried all kinds of stuff for this, but numerous things gave me paradoxical reactions)
L-theanine- this has leveled some of my anxiety
Magnesium- this can lower my back pains, esp. in an Epsom salt bath
Bragg's acv- works for stimulating digestion and topically for yeast
Beatine HCL- helped in restoring stomach motility
Sorry I don't have an positives about Lyme protocols yet, but I am new (to treating, not to the disease). I did some abx, but don't have positive stories on that. I just started some herbals three weeks ago, so I really can't comment on that yet. I will reserve judgment until I've been on them at least two months.

hi hmmm...i lived in spring lake for 2 years...now im back up north
3 yrs high dose oral abx made me a whole lot better and able to work as a teacher for 15 yrs
i had been 15 yrs with Bb before i txed...if you treat sooner i think you will do better than me
after the abx i maintained for 3 yrs on buhner then they didnt work so well
i saw another llmd and started a new abx protocol with more alternative stuff ...the abx that really helped that time were rifampin, flagyl, and clind/quineine...not all at the same time
most of my active infection is gone but i have residual issues that may have to be dealt with forever...but i was very sick and a long time before i txed the first time
in general i have found aggressively using abx asap and then switching to herbals to maintin has helped more ppl. but you can do it with herbals if you cant use abx...it is just hardr.
there is a big thread on here somewhere with success stories...you might look for it t the top here or in general support
Glutathione: Helps me in MANY ways. Energy, pain, clears my head, improves my appetite, etc.
Magnesium: Helps some of the time for twitching and muscle spasms.
Chlorella and alka seltzer gold: Helps me when I'm severely herxing.
CoQ10: Helps me for energy some of the time.
Green Tea: My other favorite for making it through the day energy-wise.

Licorice tea - a pot daily for the adrenals. It really helped.
Alka Seltzer Gold helped to deal with the toxic feelings from the heavy duty ABX.
Byron White AL complex helped me to get my immune system back.
Banderol and Samento seem to be going after something in my head that nothing else has reached. Biofilms maybe?
