I've had several "episodes". My pulse gets very high (160+), hot flashes, drop in blood pressure, happens a lot upon waking, but gone within 15 min. But in nearly 90% of the time, it happens when I have stomach pain or diarrhea.

I actually passed out a couple of months ago on my way to the bathroom. Bp was 80/40. Was in the hospital for a couple of weeks and had several more instances. However, I was severely dehydrated and found out I have multiple deep ulcers.

So needless to say, I'm scared. Anytime I begin to have stomach pain, which is all the time these days, I start to panic.

My blood pressure does tend to drop when I stand up, which makes my pulse faster. A common Lyme symptom I know. I'm on a beta blocker and have had perfectly normal heart tests.

So now I'm curious if this is a vasovagal thing or has it turned into panic attacks? I've only passed out once, but admit that I live in fear of setting of my heart symptoms.

Any words of advice? Thanks

I think it's impossible to label this as ALL systems are involved.

I'm very sorry that your LLMD has not yet instructed you as to what's underneath all this - and it is quite common with lyme.

MAGNESIUM & FISH OIL first. Those are your two best helpers. Next: Adrenal and Cardiac support.

Of course, discuss with your LLMD and you may also want to see out a LL ND (naturopathic doctor).

Ask your LLMD about a Tilt Table test. You may have POTS &/or NMH. See the Cardiac thread (in the link below) for details.

AFTER you are estabablished with ADRENAL and NEURO support, you may then want to seek out balance tests of you still experience vasovasgal symptoms. The inner ear can be connected.

Many of your questions are answered here:

I had this for a long long time ;
much better after ABX. but not cured.

Adrenal , Pituitary, Hypothalamus connection.
NMH = lyme = Pots = cushings etc,

Keebler is right on target for you

(Get a Tilt table test)

I get this all the time (especially in winter).
It's such a horrible feeling! It sounds like postural orthostatic tachycardia symptoms.
Mine are worse when I eat unhealthy. I took beta blockers for a year. Just be careful because beta blockers do lower your blood pressure.

Even when I am just a tad bit dehydrated I get those symptoms. And having frequent urination doesn't help in my case. So, just keep hydrated. Drink something with electrolyses like coconut water, and I know this is hard, but panicking only makes things worse.

I know it's hard not to panic, I panic myself, but keep reminding yourself that it will pass.
