Anyone done this? My major symptoms are fatigue/weakness and probably poor detoxing which makes me think I should try this. I am looking for a good explanation of the dosing and vitamin types used so if anyone has a link to the most concise version, that would help (each one I find seems to be confusing- could be Lyme brain though).

I only did it for about 3 months, which isn't really long enough. I didn't notice anything in those 3 months.
Here is a link to a post that the late Rich Van Konynenburg, PhD wrote on 3/30/11 on the Prohealth board telling about his revised methylation protocol.
After clicking on the link, make sure you scroll down to richvank's reply dated 3/30/11 12:05 pm.
Wow. That MTHFR site is complicated! O_o So many crazy protocols to keep track of.

Any positive outcomes from one of these protocols? It seems frustrating to put months into something that shows no benefit. I know there is no sure fire path (or we'd all be on it).

Hmm the fisrt question I would ask is do you have the MTHFR 677T mutation, which definitely causes methylation issues. If you do, its important to get treatment. My DD does and I felt a bit overwhelmed and undereducated on this issue so I took her to an integrative MD who can treat properly. If the methylation cycle is not working properly this can lead to mood and detox issues.

I'll get it tested. Is this normally tested alongside KPU? That is a similar issue with similar treatments, right?

KPU has to do with hemoglobin and is not the same thing as MTHFR or other methylation genomic issues.
However, KPU will respond positively to methylation protocols because the supplements in the methylation protocol are similar to the KPU protocol but also include additional things.
KPU protocol will not treat all methylation issues, however.
I have Yasko's protocol in a nutshell. PM me your email address if you want it.
However, please be aware that her protocol depends on you knowing what mutations you have in the methylation related genes...there are about 30 SNP's, not just MTHFR.
