Hi everyone,

I'm on IV Zith 3x wekly and pulsing Levaquin for ROcky Mountain Spotted Fever and Micoplasma pneumonia. (High levels and in my body a long time)

I feel like I'm passing out and having trouble breath. Muscle spasms.
Very weak. Feels like a massive herx possibly.

This is the second week of doing IV three x week.

Is it too much for me? Should I back down to IV 2x week?

I'm very dizzy now also
What do you think?

When you say three times a week, is this 3 consecutive days or every other day?

Second week seems a bit early for a herx. Usually hits after 3 weeks have passed.

It is three weeks from when I started.

I started at twice a week.

THen he upped me to three times a week last week.

THis is the second week of 3x weekly.

Nurse is comins soon to give me an infusion.

My thinking is, you herx when you herx. Even though Lyme herxes are supposed to be every 4 weeks, if you have other co-infections, I'm sure you could flare anytime.(ie. Babesia flares every week)

But, not everything is a herx. So, run your symptoms by your nurse to make sure.

I will.

If it is 3 weeks since you started, then it could very well be a herx.

It is hard to know what to tell people with questions like yours. You are the only one that knows when it is too much for you, and need to drop back temporarily.

My nurse is coming very soon.

I think I will take that infusion today. And maybe email or call the LLMD tomorrow

My daughter herxed like crazy on IV Zith. She also had a hard time with nausea during the infusion. So much so we only did it at night while she was sleeping. It's a hard drug via IV but she has seen a lot of improvement on it.

If your not already you might want to ask your LLMD to prescribe Lactated Ringers. She infuses a bag on non-IV days. It really helps with herxes and inflammation and also flushes toxins out. It's really good stuff!

Hang in there!

Wow, is Lacted RIngers like IV glutathian? I know he wants me to do that, pssibly next month. 3x weekly.

I hope it doesn't give diarreah, as I always have a problem with that.

I just had an infusion and I actually feel better now, not worse!

I also have made great improvements on IV azith, 3-4 days per week. I just ended 1 year and 7 months of continual IV therapy, and am in to 2 weeks on orals only, and feel like I am putting Lyme disease behind me. I feel nearly symptom free, and have not had an recurrence of my ALS like symptoms since the first week of October. I think IV azith can be really effective. I would recommend trying it a bit longer to see how it will work for you.

Good luck.

The Lactated ringers is like the fluids given in the hospital when you're dehydrated. It really helps with herxes and inflammation.

so its hydration?

someone was telling me about hydration.

Yes, but whatever else in jit really helps the herx and inflammation.

i'm feeling so lousy today. I have diarrea also.

I'll ask the doc about it when I speak to him on THursday.

I'm having trouble sleeping waking also past few night, with sleeping meds. I'm up in middle of night with breathing issues and sweats, chills.

I don't know if its herx from
Mycoplasma, or is babs making a comeback.

It seems like this will never end. For the better that is.
