I've been on mepron, azith and cefdinir. Switching the azith for biaxin. I just took my first dose about five hours ago and I have a wicked headache.

I haven't had any trouble with prior meds. Just wondering if there's anything I should know or watch for. Thanks

When I took Biaxin alone once, I noticed increased anxiety. I also had a liver enzyme issue at that time though so I had to go off pretty quickly.

I was on the same combo as you and switched from zith to biaxin due to hearing loss that we thought might have been related to the zith. I did not have a reaction to the biaxin. But I do remember having some serious head aches that would last a day or two monthly while on both zith and biaxin.

Hope you feel better.

You could be having a bad reaction to the biaxin or it may be killing some bugs that are in the vicinity of your 8th cranial nerve, causing inflammation there. That is where your balance and hearing are affected.

I would let your LLMD know about this - as he/she may want you to take a break and see how you feel. Curcumin is a good anti-inflammatory for some - as is fish oil. But check with your LLMD first. Good luck with this.
