Can anyone please post a very basic step by step of the salt/c protocol? Even what kind or a link to the kind of salt/c. I know there is info on here but not able to research right now. So much appreciated

Start with 1/4tsp sea salt and 1/4tsp Ester C powder with bioflavinoids by American Health in a glass of water.
You can increase 1/4tsp each at a time when the herx calms down. Better to order the E-Book from lymestrategies for much more detailed info.

Can you start parasite treatment with salt c and not the other herbals? Also is it possible to get the salt and bit c in the right form without ordering online? Ie at whole foods or some similar place?
I have been reading a lot of these post as well and am seriously thinking of just trying this given the great results many have gotten.

Salt & C info now on Dr. K.'s website.

Couldn't access the lymephotos site clearly from the site you posted GiGi. Here is a clearer version www.lymephotos.com
For anyone wanting to do salt/c, the best sea salt to use is either Himalayan or Real Salt. For anyone wanting to try this, lymestrategies has a very informative e-book to follow.

You can purchase sea salt and vitamin c at health food stores, but it is much cheaper on line at vitacost, swanson or Iherb. You can start salt/c without doing the herbals.

You can get the book online at Amazon as well. I feel this protocol is helping me kill mycoplasma.

The key to sticking with it from what I have read is to RAMP UP SLOW and PACE NOT RACE. These are the people that seem to stick with it and have success. It is a VERY powerful protcol against these pathogens.
Drinking coconut water is a very good adjunct because it it high in potassium and helps balance electrolytes. It is also antifungal and antiparasitic.

hopeforhealth - I am so happy you are about to begin down this path. It has been life-changing for me. I am doing great!
I have stayed at a fairly low dose of salt/c (1/2tsp ea) because it has produced steady results, but after reading the article GiGi posted, I think I am going to ramp up further. In thinking about it, I am probably not reaching deep into my tissues.
sickmate - Stick with it! I believe whole-heartedly you will get better doing this protocol.
Good luck!!

Make sure to go slow. I did not listen & went super hard. I could handle any ABX that was thrown at me & I did the same with Salt C. Went from 5G to 10G, then 15G & 20 within a week.
I was able to do this for a month. Then came neurological disturbances like never before, including for the first time Parkinson's like hand tremors that came out of nowhere. My internal vibrations/tremors also went through the roof.
To the point where I could not sleep at night. I believe it was hitting something & that it made a run for my nerves, where they are less likely to be affected by Salt C.
Base upon my experience & others getting wheelchair disabled after Salt C, I strongly think this is the case. So make sure to go slow & low, so they don't all make a dash and overwhelm your neurons.
On another note, I was suprised that Dr. H's office also Acknowledge this now. I gather the ILADS conference must have sunk in.
When I told my old LLMD & NP about parasites, they looked at me as if I had two heads and he was the PRESIDENT of ILADS (maybe still is...dunno).

Lymed, I am so sorry to hear about your experience on salt/c. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. You are helping us all. I think it's only normal for any of us to want to get well as fast as we can. I'm going to listen to everything you said and go super slow.
IMO, Dr. H's office knows because their patients are questioning parasites. I told them for months that I suspected I had parasites. They did nothing about it until I started trying herbal supplements on my own. Even then, I still had to push the issue every visit.
I am happy they are finally listening, but IMO, they need to step up to Dr. K's plate on this subject. Doc K is ahead of the pack here (just my opinion).
What we really need out here in lyme land are docs who utilize or incorporate treatment protocols from both worlds. That would truly be a benefit to us all.
Both docs are brilliant. Doc H has the meds and herbs down, and Doc K has parasites, metals and more. The only way we are going to get more lyme specialists to provide us with more treatment options is if we keep asking them. The same with congress. We gotta push (they don't know until we tell them).
Lymed, hang in there, and thanks again.

You go Catgirl!
I was disappointed at both doctor's inability to realize this at first. I thought to myself the world is just not understanding these LLMD's. They are vying for attention, understanding & to be heard. They have very important and consequential things to say.
That is why it was a bit more shocking to me, since it is the same things we are fighting for when we remain sick & question other factors. The underlying root problem is that we need to LISTEN to what the patients are saying and keep an open mind.
It is the lack of this in the past that has paved the way for our current circumstance.

Hey lymes in 2010, how are you doing now , are you walking again? Have the nerve issues calmed down?
Hope you are doing better.

I started the sal/C protocol, too. I've been doing it a week or 2 & I'm feeling results. It was too strong for me to do prior when I tried it a couple of years ago. I've reached a plateau with the Parastroy & other anti-parasite herbs/drugs - so, I went back to it.
I think it's helping! I'm definitely having a herx... I'm only on about 1/2 tsp. 1 or 2 times a day. My goal is 3 TBS. - so I have a ways to go.
A very kind lady sent me a biofilm buster that her doctor makes. It has oil of cloves, oregano & thyme. I'm taking that, too. It seems to be working since I'm feeling pretty awful - but in a good way...LOL

Does anyone know if salt/C can be taken if one has interstitial cystitis symptoms?
I know Vit C supposedly makes IC symptoms worse, but I am not sure if this form of Vit C with salt is ok.

I just wanted to add:
I have also started salt/C- I bought the e-book and read it, found it very compelling- also qualmed worries about the protocol.
Thanks for the reminder not to go gung ho with it- The book clearly states this too, saying
Do a step up gradual process/dosing. I am finding it packed a good punch to me- very interesting.
Also wanted to add I am transitioning off antibiotics, part of the reason I'm going this way-

Looks like the Salt/C protocol is getting very popular.
I had been thinking about doing the protocol and then out of the blue my LLMD recommendeds it.
I am now just increasing my dosage to 3 grams (or doses) per day.
I did get the hard copy book from Amazon and recommend it to anyone who is considering the protocol. The book stresses that the secret to success is to scale-up slowly when increasing the dosage.
One question I cannot find an answer for is in the timing of taking Salt/C with other meds or supps.
Is it okay to take Salt/C with ABX?

Pooldog, that is really cool your lyme doc recommended it. I think the "go slowly" method is the way to go for other things as well.
I take Byron White herbs this way and it has worked for me. The key for BW is not to herx hard. I back down even if I get a mild herx. It works. In fact, Doc H said that the ones who failed treatment were the ones who went too fast & herxed hard. So maybe that's the thing to do here (just a thought).
I am not normally on abx, but took one recently for parasites. I just followed a rule of thumb that my pharmacist told me, herbs/minerals either one hour before or 2 hours after meds.
Hopefully others on abx can give you more insight here.
