Hello,
I haven't tested pos for Bart but I think I may have it because I react so strongly to Bart meds.

I tried rifampin, only got 2 doses into me and had MAJOR herx, probably the worst one yet, so I had to stop, I do have to function enough to take care of my 3 year old.

I then tried factive, but developed achlilles tendonitis after one week of it, had to stop. Tried a bart, also reacted strongly to that, had
to stop.

For those of you that have Bart, did you react strongly to meds for Bart? And because I reacted so strongly, does this mean I definitely have it?

And because I cannot take those meds, how am I supposed to treat it? Is there anything else I can take med or herb wise for Bart?

Sorry just don't know what else I can do for it and I think I do have Bart and maybe it's one reason I am still sick, than dee

If you reacted like that to the meds, my guess you have. Just my opinion though.

Try one or two drops at a time and work up from there.

Drink plenty of lemon water.

Thank you jkv44 for you response. Do you know if there are any other treatments out there for Bart? Thanks

Bactrim and Zith combo are also used for Bart.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I can't tolerate rifampin either and do not want to do any of the fluoroquinilones. I plan on asking my LLNP about bactrim as a alternative at my next visit.

I will have to dig out my notes. I posed this question on a webinar with an LLMD and I forget what Med e said to pair with the bactrim for treating Bart, maybe biaxin??

Is bactrim septra? I have taken septra and zithro but not together, maybe I will look into that! Thank you hopeny.

bbinme

The biggest give away for my bart was sore heels and constant nagging headache pain behind my eyes and others.

I didn't have a lot of these symptoms until a year into lyme treatment. I was finally tested for bart and I was positive.

I am on a lot of meds but levaquin for the bart.
