I was taking amoxicillin for a couple of months and just added Flagyl (1000 mg a day) five day ago. Right now, I am having these excruciating pains in the teeth and jaw, going into the palate. Not sure if it is a side effect of the medication combo. This didn't happen when I was taking only amoxicillin. It is VERY VERRY painful. Has anyone experienced this side-effect? Thanks,

YES!!!!! I thought it was my new bite plate irritaing my teeth but I really think it might be the Flagyl.
I did not take any Flagyl today and my teeth feel fine.I was getting bad nerve pain and sensitivity....You too?

Maybe the Flagyl is killing oral Spirochetosis. Dentist commonly prescribe Flagyl because of it's ability to kill Anaerobic oral infections.
Any past fillings,root canals, or abscess in the area of pain?

YES, I've had this with that combo and it always really worried me. My teeth were always the best thing about me, hehe!
Hopefully it won't turn out to be something bad for our teeth and gums. I do now brush with food grade hydrogen peroxide 3% and baking soda so that hopefully will kill anything running around in there.
I would be interested in hearing from others that have experienced this in the PAST. What was their outcome, etc.

I started take Flagyl today for the first time - 250mg 3x. I have never taken this before.
I noticed slight numbness/tingling sensation on my lips. Nothing major and not immediately after taking it. And the sensation seems to only last about an hour. Moves from right side to left, then top to bottom. Strangest thing I've ever felt.
No pain though. But this is only day 1.
2 more days of Flagyl then on to Diflucon and Doxy combo next week.

Been off Flagyl for 2 days now and teeth feel fine.
I pulse back on in 3 days so I will see if the tooth pain/sensitivity comes back. Cannot control all variables but it is an interest idea re: Flagyl and tooth pain.
