Hi, all,
It's been several years since I've posted... but am trying to remember what I was like before lyme in 2004 and ironically can't.

I am trying to figure out if my memory, attention span and ability to handle stress/illness has been affected by this lovely disease we call "Lyme".

How many of you, after having a relatively successful treatment still suffer from memory issues? Or word retrieval issues? I am not nearly as motivated, when I have a 'touch of something" I feel like my symptoms come back harder.

In 2008 I went to a "lyme doc" who told me that my lyme titer wasn't high enough and suggested that I never had lyme at all..

I am very confused (bad pun) about the lasting effects of TBD on my overall cognitive well-being.

Thoughts?

My memory and brain fog has much improved , I went from forgetting peoples names , word retrieval , etc . they were all on a scale of 9 . I feel that i am at a 4 now . I guess the reason getting better is using meds that cross the BBB , and also the use of supplements that cross BBB. My llmd said if im lucky i would get 95% of my cognitive back . I will get a list of meds and supplements that i use .

Thank you lostlyme for your response. I am interested in the supplements you use.

smiles, you might want to do a search on yourself and read where you were and all your symptoms years ago.

It might help you remember some things like being reinfected, positive lyme tests etc.

Any stress can and will effect you? Stress lowers your immune system and lets all the bad guys take control.

I think your "lyme doc" in '08 really didn't see the big picture of your history of illness.

Check out the current Parasite Warriors Thread. You may be infected with parasites/worms that have not been treated. Google parasite symptoms.
