To test out this theory I decided to take my temperature before and after being in my portable FIR sauna today. Unexpectedly, my body temp actually dropped a few tenths of a degree while in the sauna. I stayed in the sauna for 30 minutes at 145 degrees and was working up a good sweat towards the end of the session. Why wouldn't my body temp go any higher?

What I don't get at all is my body temp read a measly 96.3 degrees before going in the sauna. A few hours later my temp read 98.1 degrees which is "normal" for me. What's up with the wide difference in body temp?

I could ask my doc this question when I see him next - will be a little while.
