My DD is 9 and we are about 8 months in of aggressive treatment, currently working on Bart with rifampin/zith. We have added in a number of supps for immune support/methylation/detox and I have read great things about cumanda for bart. I would like to add cumanda and samento but wanted to see if others had used in a child. Thank you

I can't answer your question specifically about using Cumanda with children. Hopefully this will bump up and others will respond.
But I did want to say, anyone who I have witnessed using Cumanda get incredibly sleepy. I was under the impression that Dr. Cowden substituted Cumanda with something else because people had a hard time tolerating it.
Hope your daughter feels better quickly, Karen

I used it for my 7yr old. saw some serious increase in symptoms. it was working but then we switched. I'm going to try it again very soon.

Yes, beware - cumanda turns my little girl into a monster ....huge bart rages. You have to go up one drop at a time.

Thanks all. I am already seeing Bart rages with Rifampin. Maybe I should hold off on the cumanda until we are further in. For those in the 7/8/9 yo range, how many drops are you giving? What about samento? I am giving Burbur which seems to help so I also ordered Parsley and these other two herbs.

I couldn't" tolerate the rifampin as an adult, must be so hard on a child. I would check with her LLMD before adding in anything else.

Ellen101 I hope I am not jinxing myself but thankfully so far she has been able to tolerate it, outside of some rages. Its amazing she is also able to take Biaxin, I took one pill years ago and got so incredibly sick even the name made me shudder. Somehow kids seem ok with many of the meds adults have trouble with...My LLMD is not into naturals so we are also working with an integrative but our appt is not for two months. I think I am going to hold off for a while even though I have the bottle sitting here

I would work up to 5 to 6 drops twice daily for an 8 year old. You could work up to about 8 drops of samento and the same with burbur, twice daily. You can put them in the same glass of water and take before breakfast and dinner. Start with only 1 drop twice daily and go from there.
