I've had this rash for about a month now and have tried cream from doctor but no improvement. Have any of you experienced this type of rash? It's a little itchy, but not bad. Sometimes it settles down a bit only to flare up a day or so later. I watch my sugar intake and detox. I didn't notice it appearing when starting a new med.

Does sound a bit like candida.

That's what my dr. thought so gave me a cream for it, but it hasn't helped at all.

I have a rash on my back and now spreading to my arms. Tiny little spots that almost look like pimples. Nothing comes out of them and create a really dry scaly feeling when you rub your hand across. I have been wondering what it is as well.

I have tried creams from the Dermatologist and nothing works..

This is interesting, I would like to hear what everyone thinks. thanks

The cream does not work because you have an INTERNAL/systemic problem.

Which probiotic are you taking and how much?? Are you eating carbohydrates in excess?

Lymetutu, very interesting, the dermatologist of course never said anything like this and it never occurred to me. Thanks, I will work more on the candida. Thanks.

I take proboulardi, 5 billion and align, 5 billion daily. I also have plain yogurt several days a week and eat very few carbs..except I do crave potato chips a lot. Other than that it's mostly meat, nuts, veggies, berries, eggs. I also have a little piece of dark chocolate almost daily. I drink aloe vera juice daily and lots of lemon water. Maybe I need to up the probiotics?

If I were on antibiotics, I would take a MINIMUM of 100 billion CFU's per day.

I never could get away with eating yogurt. It just had too much sugar.. even the plain.

See the thread on quality probiotics at low cost. Align is overrated.... esp at that cost and low count.

jlf2012,
Yogurt isn't going to do that much.
Look into Kefir, which has MANY more strains of good bacteria for your gut.

Are you taking fish oil?
I no longer need to use hand cream or chapstick, which is amazing, considering how dry my skin was.

Try to include more beans in your diet, as they are a good source of magnesium.
Kidney beans, baked beans, bean soup, rice and beans, bean burritoes.

Not even my GI believes in systemic Candida!!! They have no clue.

Honestly, mainstream docs have no clue. Thanks so much for the insight. All a big learning curve.

Are you still taking any antiparasitics? Sounds like parasites to me. I have had the same kind of rash.

Gael, I am not on an antiparasitic right now. I need to get he Malarone under my belt first. This is what my LLMD has requested. I am just starting out. Then addin Art, pulsing, 10 days on, 20 off. Once I can get my body to deal wih this I can add anti parasitics. And also deal with the heavy metals. I have no clue how to manage all of this just following the dr. Recommendations and trying to learn as much as possible here.

Lymetutu, I did a search on "quality probiotics at low cost" but nothing came up. My plain yogurt doesn't have any sugar added to it. It tastes like sour cream:(..haha.

It is highly likely that it is folliculitis caused by antibiotic use. People who take antibiotics long term for acne will often develop folliculitis. If you want to treat it, i would see a dermatologist and tell him youve been on abx for awhile. You can google images of folliculitis. There are different forms of it but it is usually caused by bacteria that normally lives unseen on your skin that flourishes when you take antibiotics. It can often look pimple like and itch a little. Folliculitis is, more often than not, not a fungus or yeast. Different derms treat it in different ways

I looks up the folliculitis and this is not what I have. My rash is more of a scaly type. Thanks for the thoughts on this, maybe I will try to post a picture.

jif2012,

Are you still on antiparasitic? I have had a similar rash, and I really suspect that this rash is parasitic that you have.

Just my 2 cents.

Low cost probiotics:

(best cost for value)

What does the actual sugar content of the yogurt say?
