Seriously.. I wasn't sure at first, but now I'm certain that saccromyces boulardii (found in Florastor) will stop you up bigtime... or is it just ME??

Good grief!! I was trying to add this to my diet because I feel it is the missing link in my battle against candida/yeast.

Anyone else have this trouble?

Next time you get diarrhea, TRY THIS!!! [Eek!]

Never did that for me, makes we wonder if you took too much in your situation ... created an imbalance of sorts?

One a day.

Helps when you are on enough ABX. If you are not, it is too much.

Yes, people in our family find Saccharomyces bouldardii constipating.

I actually have been taking 3/day (15 billion/day) lately, since starting to treat parasites. I haven't taken abx in really many months, and didn't need the SacchB until I started to treat parasites. My experience (not just this one time) has been that treating parasites is another thing that prompts the need for probiotics.

Oldman.. I haven't been on abx in years... but I still have yeast.

I think I'll take 1/2 capsule every 3rd day or something. Sheesh. Or once a week?

Make sure you drink a full glass of water with the S. Boulardii to cut down on the constipating effects.

And also, might be good to take a little magnesium with it, too...

Lymetoo, have you tried drinking kombucha tea? I think it is supposed to be really good for yeast issues - even though it has a small amount of sugar and trace of alcohol.

I have just started learning how to make my own and have a batch almost ready. (easy!) I love the taste and have been enjoying a little bit of the store bought variety every evening in a wine glass. [Razz] It is my treat.

Since doing this, I have not had any symptoms of yeast problems. Hope it might work for you.

I've been making my own kombucha for several months now. I LOVE it!! It really helps me stay away from sugar!

Razzle.. yep, I take tons of magnesium and drink tons of water. Having Sjogren's makes me dry.

Yeah, the kombucha rocks! Bugbit turned me onto it a while back. I wonder how she is doing (hope all is well)?

Lymetoo, s boullardi makes me itch (mushroom?).

Do you like prunes? They can fix the problem if you like them. The Costco brand is really good.

I forgot you weren't on abx anymore. That is probably why it doesn't do that to me. I have to take 4 a day.

I have stayed away from Kombucha because of putting sugar in it. I know it gets eaten up, but with active Lyme, I don't know if it is okay.

I miss it. [confused]
