I have been treated for Lyme's for 2 months (antibiotics). I was feeling pretty good. Most of my horrible pain went away and I had more energy.
I was also doing coffee enemas once a day.
I stopped doing the coffee enemas as a friend told me I had to juice 3 times a day if I was to continue with them.
In the past week, I have become so fatigued that I can't even function. I do not need to get more sleep. It is a bone tired, exhaustion.
Any ideas. Should I be doing B12 or do you think it is a detox issue?
I would appreciate ideas and comments. Thank you.

campermom: you do not have to juice in order to do a coffee enema. Coffee enemas help the body to detox.

I would suspect yeast by this time unless you are aggressively keeping watch on your diet and probiotics.
You may also have babesia which is just now surfacing. That happens.
(ps.. respectfully, there is no "S" in the word "Lyme")

Ha, (smile). I do know that about the word but I keep saying Lyme's like I am a newbie...I am 2 months into this, I should no better.
What do I do about the yeast? How do I know it is the use. I am doing Kefir for a probiotic. And what do I do about Babesia? HELP!!

Are you familiar with herxing? You could be herxing. Unfortunately, it is not unusual for symptoms to fluctuate in severity during treatment.
Were you evaluated for all the co-infections that ticks can transmit? Many people who have Lyme have multiple infections.

Kefir is good, but you have to still take a good probiotic 3 times per day. Read it in the Burrascano Guidelines.
"1. PROBIOTICS (required when on antibiotics)
Kefir: This is a yogurt-like drink that is said to more permanently replenish beneficial flora. It is only necessary to drink 2 to 4 ounces a day.
Acidophilus: the best kinds are frozen or refrigerated to ensure potency. Usual dose is two with each meal.
Plan to mix together several different brands to broaden the spectrum. Acidophilus can be gotten from most vitamin stores but some generic brands are of unknown freshness and potency. An alternative that does not need refrigeration and can be taken only once a day is a high potency, patented product called Pro Bio from Pharmanex. The ultimate mix of pre- and probiotics with soil based organisms is a product called Prescript- Assist Pro from Researched Nutritionals. This too does not need refrigeration.
In addition, have 4 ounces of sugar-free yogurt on occasion." (page 28)
If you have yeast, kefir and probiotics will not get rid of it. They just help to prevent it.
If you have yeast, you should notice a white coating on your tongue, especially when you first wake up. That is the yeast (thrush) in the mouth. It goes into the gut with each swallow. You may also have bloating from the yeast. And, the yeast symptoms are many, and they are just like lyme disease symptoms.
If you have yeast, you will need a prescription for Diflucan from your doc to get rid of it. I had bloating and abdominal pain when I had yeast.
You really have to take a lot of probiotics to keep yeast away, plus do the anti-yeast diet religiously while on antibiotics and for a month after stopping antibiotics. Read all about it in Burrascano.
With lyme treatment, you will have a flare of symptoms approximately every 4 weeks. So, this could also be a flare. Check your calendar and see if this is the 8th week of treatment.
If it is, mark this time on your calendar as a flare. Then, see if you get another 4 weeks from the start of this flare.
It could be so many things, it is hard to say what it is based on your description. You stopped the coffee enemas, and this started. See if it leaves if you do the coffee again.
Other forms of detox are drinking lots of water with lemons squeezed into it.
Your lyme doctor should have told you about the anti-yeast diet and the need for probiotics, plus the 4 week flares, etc.

I see in another post of yours that you are on flagyl and doxy. Flagyl is notorious for causing yeast, even in folks on the proper probiotics. Flagyl also causes herxheimer (flare) reactions. So, you could likely have both going on.
Here is a quote from Burrascano, talking about flagyl:
"3. Yeast overgrowth is especially common. A strict anti-yeast regimen must be followed.
4. Flagyl can be irritative to the nervous system- in the short term, it may cause irritability, "spacey" feelings, etc. Longer term, it can affect the peripheral nerves, causing tingles, numbness, etc. If mild, a change in dose may be required. Often, extra vitamin B can clear these symptoms. If the nerve symptoms persist or are strong, then metronidazole must be discontinued or these symptoms may become very long lasting.
5. Strong Herxheimer-like reactions are seen in almost everyone." (page 15 of Burrascano)

Thanks, TF, for informing and reminding us of this info. I really need to stay away from my desserts which is a real struggle for me. This may be affecting my stamina and immunity.
I'm in my last stage of treatment. I'm doing so much better, but my CD57 is in the 40's. It had been higher, but went lower with treatment. Go figure. Fatigue is my only lingering symptom.

Thank you TF for the helpful information. I appreciate you taking the time to help out.

This may be part of a herx. It was for me, along with increased headaches.
You may need to stop the antibiotic for a couple days to give your liver time to do its job. And you can take supplements that help the liver to make glutathione.
