I tested positive for a past infection, but I don't think it is playing a part in my illness now. My LLNP told me that I do not have an active infection and that many of the same meds you take for lyme also treat this.

- dbpei,
Did you have the IgA done?
There is a test that shows past, one for present but also one for chronic. Most doctors do not do that one.
As with lyme & TBD, it's best to contact the experts outside of the mainstream doctors for the best assessment and advice.
More detail at the CpnHelp site. -

Keebler, that is the only test I do not have a copy of! I am not sure if the IgA was done. My LLNP is very integrative and most of her practice was from the west coast before she relocated here in the northeast.
It was back in the fall that my testing was done. I remember discussing at length with my LLNP - and I did register for the CPN website just to learn more about it. After a while, I felt I did not fit the profile of someone with chronic CPN.

I would prefer to think and hope that I am not also battling Cpn.
My IGG and IGA titers 1:256
The IGA distinguishes between Cpn and cross-reaction? ie have read where perhaps CPn and Bart H can cross-react.
