HELLO all. I have had Lyme symptoms since Feb 2000 & after several antibiotic treatments over the years I still feel symptoms. Blood works tests negative every time it's checked. My question is for the Moms out there who were pregnant with Lyme & did it pass on to the baby? I would like to get pregnant but am apprehensive. Has anyone or know any one who has had Lyme for many years b4 getting pregnant? How did things go 4 u/them & how was the baby? Thanks to all responses! Posted by Lymetoo (Member # 743) on :
Yes, it can be passed to the baby! A "negative" test does not prove you don't have Lyme.
I would suggest contacting Dr J in CT before deciding to get pregnant. He and a few others have a protocol for pregnancy so the baby is protected.

terry, check out the discussion I started called "cured by pregnancy?" towards the end of the conversation we got onto this topic too and some other women offered their experiences with Lyme/Pregnancy/Infected Children. Hope this helps!

I have been sick with Lyme for 6 years and did not know I had it. Three years ago I gave birth to a healthy baby who shows no symptoms of Lyme. I wish you the best!

I forgot to say that I did not know that I had Lyme until a few months ago. So I did not take any special precautions with the pregnancy as I did not know that I had Lyme. Healthy baby and is now a healthy 3 year old. Praise God.

Hey campermom do you still have Lyme? How long do you think you had it b4 your baby? I know you didn't know you had it but do remember how long you had any symptoms?
