I am wondering if anyone knows where I can have tests ordered for the most common fungal/mold infections people get? And if possible, what the test codes are? Thanks.

Yes, I did - through my allergist and llmd due to my high exposure to black mold in my house. Simple blood test through Quest - igg/igm test I believe. Cost me a standard co-pay. $700.00? Oh dear...

There are three different kinds of tests mentioned on this thread.
1) Real Time Labs offers a urine test to see if mycotoxins (trichothecene, ochratoxin, aflatoxin) are present. This suggests exposure to environmental molds, though an internal fungal infection (such as aspergillosis) might also create enough toxin to cause this problem.
2) Allergy (IgG) tests look at whether people have been exposed to particular molds recently. For instance, if people have high IgG to Stachybotrys, that suggests that they may have a problem with that mold in their home or workplace. IgE allergy tests are for classic allergies to the mold (such as sneezing) and generally don't have a lot to do with Lyme disease.
3) Dr. Shoemaker's tests are of various measures of inflammation and hormone levels. They provide information on whether people are being made sick by mold, based on his research into mold illness patients vs. healthy people.

Yes, I was tested for IgG and IgE. Came back positive. Pretty much confirmed what I already knew...
