I don't think I fit the Reynauds description, my hands don't change color.

Is it possibly a circulation issue or can it be attributed to a certain co infection?

I had the same problem. A nurse called it Reynauds, but it went away after I had IV Flagyl and IV Zosyn in the hospital.

Infection can surely cause it...but I don't know which infection.

Infection can cause hypercoagulation (thick blood). This is the body's way of slowing down the spread of infection. So, the extremities can become cold. Hypothyroidism can also cause cold hands and feet.

Low thyroid can cause this and so can co-infections. I get this 3 out of 7 days and it happens at 4:00 pm or so. I ride it out with a hot water bottle.

CCSVI with biofilm in venous system. Biofilm slows total circulation. Needs to be treated to avoid hiding places for pathogens. MMS breaks biofilm deposits. Saran wrapped stool follows.
