I have pain on the the outside of my leg, it is worse at night and isn't as noticable during the day when I am up and moving around. The pain starts in my hip and moves down my leg. Also it seems to be aggravated by the computer. Does anyone know what this is?

Could be sciatica. A good chiropractor may be helpful. Also, there are some stretching exercises that can be very helpful. Ask the Chiropractor.

What you have sounds like what I have - which is 'IT band' pain - does it go from your hip down the side of your leg in ropy bands? Could you pls explain how the computer aggravates this?

My hips and legs always hurt. Doc says something called anklosing spondylitis.

tailfeathers, I don't really know how the computer aggravates it, but it does. When I sit at the computer it hurts, mostly on the left side where most of the equipment is. There is a correlation between how much I am at the computer and the pain in my hip and leg. Also, I just feel better overall if I limit my computer use. EMFs maybe?

nonna, yes, sounds quite familiar. UGH!
