A few days ago I got a big eye floater( left eye) that's staying mostly in front of my vision and a lot of small dots( not as visible as the floaters) and my vision is a bit blurry, creamy like.
I was wondering whether I should go to an ophthalmologist or wait and tell llmd or neuro when I see them. I have read that floaters are normal so I don't know what to do. Is there any medicine I can put in eye.
Thank you

It wouldn't hurt to see your opthalmologist, but floaters and the dots you speak of go with Lyme and coinfections.

There is no medication to help floaters or spots, but if you think your eyes might be dry, that can exacerbate all of that. You could try preservative free saline eye drops to see if you see any difference. Eyes do get blurry when they are dry.

Go to the ophthalmologist just to check. There might be something going on with your retina.

Hi - I'm not a doctor, but it sounds to me like these are Lyme eye symptoms. I fixed mine by drinking mangosteen juice, an anti-inflammatory juice you can find in healthfood stores and online. I like the mango-xan version - it's the least tart of the juice blends.

I drink 1/2 oz in the am and pm. Go slowly if you try it, as the juice can be powerful, and drink some water too.

Keep in mind we're all different when it comes to what works.

You need to see an ophthalmologist, a retina specialist to be precise.

You might have had a vitreous detachment. It isn't a concern, in and of itself, but when the vitreous detaches from the retina, it can also tear the retina. That needs to be repaired asap.

That's what happened to me. I needed laser repair.

It does require prompt attention. Only an ophthalmologist can determine exactly what's going on. Call now.

The mangosteen juice did nothing for my husbands floaters. It is good for your health, but did nothing for his eyes.

Thank you everyone for your answers. I am seeing the ophthalmologist on Thursday. My eye hurts from time to time. I will try the mangosteen.
I don't know if this is related but for a week I have been taking samento drops ( just 3) and rhodiolia.(20 ) drops.

I am on a yeast treatment right now and I am getting eye symptoms that I don't normally have and I think it is die off. Vision is blurry and there seems to be a "film" for lack of a better word coating the eyeballs. It's clear almost, and hard to describe.

Mine is like a big thread moving around in front of my eye, smaller threads on the side vision and many less visible small dots.I have trouble driving or walking because it feels like a car or an object is coming towards me.

Since mangosteen juice was mentioned, I checked on iherb for reviews of the Genesis Today brand. Here is one comment:

"Gives a herx to the tick-borne infections so at least I know it is reaching them. I like that it is the whole fruit juice. It's good to start slow."

I have the exact same visual issue. I went to Opthalmologist 2 times in the last couple yrs.

They never found anything and at this last visit they told me it's the disease playing games with my eyes.

Went to opthalmologist today. He says it is vitreous detachment but since I have light flashes to call him if it gets worse.he was very confused about why I was taking doxy and about Lyme in general.

It's parasites (they love the eyes). Treat and they will go away.

Most docs aged 305 and older have not had any training in lyme or co-infections. I had to explain

bartonella and babesia to my ENT. At least the med student that was in the room that day had a little

bit of info on these. Still not enough, in my opinion.
