Do you have to buy the ingredients and make your own treatments/pills and combinations according to the book?

Thank you for any input or stories!

He suggests tinctures and powders that you can either buy in capsule form or buy them in a powder and make your own capsules.

On his website he has suggestions for what to take and what to combine. All his books are great if you want to read up on how he came up with all this stuff for treatment.

Many LLMD's add some of the herbals he suggests to their abx treatments.

Be sure to get the books, and study the web forums, too, BEFORE starting anything. Even if not using the suppments, the lyme book is an excellent information on how lyme works, how the body works (or doesn't) when lyme and other TBD are involved.

This book about some other (but not all) TBD (tick borne disease) is out next week:

When considering herbal / nutritional / adjunct methods:

if at all possible - because each person & each case is different - it's best to consult with an ILADS-educated LL ND (lyme literate naturopathic doctor) (or similar) who has completed four years of post-graduate medical education in the field of herbal and nutritional medicine -

- and someone who is current with ILADS' research & presentations, past and present, and has completed the ILADS Physician Training Program (see: www.ilads.org )

Many LL NDs incorporate antibiotics (depending upon the licensing laws in their state). Some LLMDs and LL NDs have good working relationships.

When possible, it's great to have both a LLMD and LL ND and even better when they have a long-standing professional relationship.

How to find an ILADS-educated LL:

N.D. (Naturopathic Doctor);

L.Ac. (Acupuncturist);

D.Ay. (Doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine);

D.O.M. (Doctor of Oriental Medicine);

Integrative / Holistic M.D., etc. (Be aware that those in this category can have various levels of formal herbal &/or nutritional education, perhaps even just a short course. Do ask first.)

Links to many articles and books by holistic-minded LL doctors of various degrees who all have this basic approach in common:

Understanding of the importance of addressing the infection(s) fully head-on with specific measures from all corners of medicine;

knowing which supplements have direct impact, which are only support and which are both.

You can compare and contrast many approaches.

BASIC HERBAL EDUCATIONAL & SAFETY links,

BODY WORK links with safety tailored to lyme patients,

LOW HEAT INFRARED SAUNA detail,

BIONIC 880 (& PE-1) links, and

RIFE links.

What ILADS is

& WHY you need an ILADS-educated, Lyme Literate Doctor (whether LLMD or LL ND, or both)

There's also a Buhner yahoo discussion site at Lyme_Aid_Buhner. I suggest you go on it after you have read the PlanetThrive site or read Healing Lyme, as the info you're asking about is there.

ditto about reading book...or at least the part you are interestd in...or go on site. you need support in case you have bad reactions

book is real easy to use-

Go slowly with the herbs...they can be quite powerful.

I speak from experience...

Thank you all!!! Yes, that sounds good.

My LLMD put me on ABAB (Byron White Formulas) after I was allergic to Malarone. The ABAB seems to be very effective. I did test positive for B.duncani and have other co-infections.

Heard a lot of good things about Buhner, too, so I am curious and will read the books he has on Lyme and the new one on co-infections.

Too bad this takes so long to get rid of. All your support and information is much appreicated.
